SPY Optics and Moto GP Star John Hopkins Team Up!
Spy is pleased to announce a new partnership with Motorcycle GP star John "Hopper" Hopkins.
Originally from Ramona, California Hopper has brought Spy onboard in his quest to become one of the best Moto GP athletes in the world. From his earliest road-racing days, John Hopkins was earmarked as a kid with a big future, joining the Suzuki team in 2003.
Born in Ramona in southern California, to British National parents, John counts himself as more than just part British and races with a Union Jack flag on his helmet and his motorcycle's fairing. His parents were both from Acton in West London, emigrating shortly before he was born. He still has many family connections in England.
Hopper secured his first ever GP podium this May in Shanghai, China at the round four stop of the Moto GP World Championships.
Hopper is currently in 4th in the series and is the top American in the in the points chase. Watch for Hopkins and his favorite checkered Trons as he gets ready to do battle at his home town race in Monterey, California at the legendary Laguna Seca on July 21-22nd.
