SPY OPTIC’S DANNY HARF WINS BIG AT WAKEBOARDING MAGAZINE’S FIFTH ANNUAL WAKE AWARDS

On September 12th 2008, Wakeboarding Magazine rolled out the red carpet for the Fifth Annual Wake Awards presented by Rockstar Energy Drink in Orlando, Florida during Surf Expo. Spy’s team rider sensation Danny Harf was presented with the most awards “Best Wake Rider,” “Best Video Performance – Wakeboard” and “Move of the Year – Wakeboard.” Out of the fifteen award categories, Harf was the winner of three. It was a monumental night for Danny considering he’s been out of the circuit for a few months due to a back injury.

Harf’s big night was amplified ten-fold by the utter surprise and roar from the crowd when the panel presented Danny with the “Move of the Year – Wakeboard” award. It was the unveiling video premiere of his award winning “Move of the Year” filmed by Spy’s Shane Bonifay landing the first and only in wakeboarding history, a switch toeside 1260.
